Location:Local candidates are preferred to work onsite in Moline, IL, but the manager is willing to consider fully remote candidates if they are well qualified for the role.NOTE: Video interviews and a skills assessment will be required during this process. If the candidate is not willing to be on video conference, he or she will not be considered for the role.Position Description:As a Senior Software Engineer on this embedded operations team, you will be:Automating and scripting to improve adoption of internal systemsAiding in operating system adoption and version upgradesWorking with the OS Enablement engineer to implement automation, documentation, and workflows around EMB32 upgradesWriting scripts to work with C codeReading between the lines and handling edge cases in design. You will need the ability to create generic tools to work with varying customers who have different needsMust haves:Looking for candidates with 5-7 years of experience with the followingProficient in a scripting language (Python most commonly seen, but others are acceptable)Working understanding of C codeExperience with discreet real time operating systems is needed.
