Yard AssociateAce Hardware is looking for a highly skilled Full-Time Yard Associate to join our team. A Yard Associate provides excellent customer service to every customer, upholds our mission and values, processes sales quickly, accurately, and efficiently with a helpful attitude and demeanor. A Yard Associate must strive to amaze every customer every time, thank them for their purchase, and invite them to shop again. Wages commensurate with experience. Essential Duties: Unload and check-in freight from vendors. Load deliveries in van or truck. Backstock all items designated for yard storage. Restock all bagged goods. Perform carry outs for customers. Build grills, wheelbarrows, patio furniture, etc. Keep the yard secure, clean and safe. Be aware of and follow all safety and store cleanliness standards. Be knowledgeable and actively participate in all sales promotions and other campaigns. Consistently provide excellent customer service and build customer relations. Be aware of store goals and performance against those goals. Review and adhere to all city, county, state, and federal laws affecting store operations. Operate forklift, which requires completion of training and a valid driver's license. Any other duties assigned by management. Always maintain a neat personal appearance and wear company uniform and name tag. Fill propane tanks safely and efficiently Job responsibilities may change based on the needs of the business. Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Exceptional customer service skills & the ability to help maintain a customer focused culture. Ability to use computer, telephone, and other equipment as needed. Ability to work as part of a team and interact with customers of various backgrounds, vendors, co-workers, guests, and Ace corporate representatives. A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required. Must be able to work a flexible schedule on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, as well as frequent walking, reaching, and bending to perform job duties. Move and handle merchandise up to 80 pounds.
