Business Analyst - Software Solutions ONSITE in Houston, TX

We are looking for a Business Analyst with a strong background in software solutions, particularly within the oil & gas sector. Familiarity with low code software such as Mendix is preferred. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of our software products to clients, with a focus on operational excellence and client satisfaction. Description Key Responsibilities Gathering and documenting comprehensive software requirements. Analyzing and improving business processes to optimize workflows. Facilitating communication between stakeholders and development teams. Designing software solutions and evaluating options based on user needs. Managing stakeholder expectations throughout the software development process. Collaborating with QA testers for quality assurance and validation. Contributing to solution design, including user experience and system architecture. Seeking opportunities for continuous improvement and enhancing user experiences. Facilitating the Scrum process and ensuring adherence to the framework. Cooperating with the development team on self-organization and cross-functionality. Supporting the Product Owner in managing the product backlog and prioritizing requirements. Shielding the team from external distractions and promoting focus on value delivery. Facilitating effective communication and collaboration within the Scrum team and with stakeholders. Monitoring progress, tracking metrics, and identifying areas for improvement. Promoting Agile principles, fostering a culture of adaptability and transparency. Continuously learning and sharing knowledge to enhance the team's effectiveness. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. A master’s degree or MBA may be preferred. Understanding of the oil and gas industry's processes, regulations, and standards. Analysis Skills, expertise in data analysis tools and techniques (SQL and Excel). Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal teams. Critical thinking and proactive approach to problem-solving. Solid understanding of software development methodologies and technologies and in particular Low-code (Mendix) software.
