Customer Service RepresentativeLocation: Lakewood, NJ Type: Contract To Hire Compensation: $25.00 - $27.00 Contractor Work Model: Onsite Hybrid Hours: 9 am to 5 pm / Monday - FridayResponsibilitiesHandle inbound calls from COBRA members, employers, HR contacts, and brokers with a strong focus on clear and patient phone supportAssist callers with COBRA notices, elections, payments, coverage questions, portal access, and general account informationRespond to incoming email inquiries accurately and in a timely mannerPerform accurate data entry for COBRA enrollments, terminations, changes, payments, and related updatesCarefully review entries against source documents to avoid errors and unnecessary reworkDocument calls, updates, and actions taken in the system with clear and complete notesSupport open enrollment by helping with increased call volume and walking employees through their COBRA optionsProvide basic phone or screen-share portal demos for new HR contacts, new clients, and employees, including how to access the portal, review COBRA information, read notices, complete elections, and make paymentsWork closely with the COBRA team to resolve issues and keep members informedAssist with other COBRA department tasks and projects as neededRequirementsStrong phone skills and a professional, calm manner with callersPrior customer service or call center experience requiredCOBRA, benefits, insurance, or medical office experience is a plusStrong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detailComfortable working in multiple computer systems and screens at the same timeAble to manage heavy call volume during open enrollment and other busy periodsComfortable leading short phone or screen-share portal demos for HR contacts, new clients, and employeesReliable, organized, and able to follow detailed procedures consistentlyStrong attendance and punctuality
