We are seeking experienced Thermal/Mechanical Engineers to build the next generation of our cloud platforms.
What you will do
As a member of the Hardware Engineering Mechanical/Thermal/Robotics (MTR) Engineering team you’ll be responsible for the design of our server platforms. You’ll provide leadership in the application of new cooling and mechanical technologies to large scale server deployments in a continuous effort to deliver a world‑class customer experience. You will work on server designs that enable automated assembly to increase throughput.
Key job responsibilities
Perform mechanical and thermal design and development for complex electronic systems
Design and validate systems and subsystems to meet program objectives
Participate in the cross‑discipline design process working with other HW and SW team members to develop optimized integrated solutions
Conduct failure analysis and solution validation for product development and fleet systems
Manage interaction with overseas resources
Provide mentorship and technical reviews to a team of mechanical/thermal design engineers
Assess server designs for automated assembly, design for automation and throughput efficiency
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
7 years experience in thermal and mechanical design of server technologies or equivalent technology
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
9 years experience in thermal and mechanical design of server technologies or equivalent technology
Experience with the project management of technical projects
Experience with thermal analysis tools such as CFD (e.g., Flotherm, ANSYS Icepak, or similar)
Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo/ProE)
Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
Experience in systems integration of complex server products
Expertise or familiarity with automation and design for automated assembly
Base Salary
USA, WA, Seattle ‑ 159,200.00 – 215,300.00 USD annually . Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
