Maintenance Mechanic
Summary: As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of machinery and equipment within our facility. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and completing repairs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with industrial equipment, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment according to established schedules and protocols
Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical problems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repair of production equipment during machine service
Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting
Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems to restore functionality and ensure optimal performance
Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and prolong lifespan
Collaborate with production personnel to address maintenance issues and minimize disruptions to operations
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory levels
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including lockout/tagout procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage
Assist with the installation, modification, or relocation of machinery and equipment as needed
Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards, including proper storage of tools, parts, and supplies
Adjust to changing work assignments based on priority/ instructions by management
Demonstrate a positive, cooperative attitude at all times

Qualifications/Skills:
Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, with knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and welding/fabrication techniques
Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed
Basic electrical knowledge including 3 phase 480v
Some welding and fabrication skills preferred
Must have a valid driver’s license
Bi-Lingual is preferred
