Cost Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Cost Accountant for a growing, advanced manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cost accounting, inventory analysis, and financial reporting, along with advanced Excel skills and experience working within an ERP system. This role offers the opportunity to partner directly with plant leadership, gain exposure across operations, R&D, and commercial teams, and play a key role in driving financial insights and process improvements within a dynamic environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the plant by providing financial analysis, cost tracking, and reportingMaintain and update standard cost structures, including conducting ongoing variance analysisPerform annual cost roll-ups and support cost planning initiativesPrepare monthly financial reports, including KPIs, cost analysis, and performance metricsAssist with forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning processesPartner with operations, R&D, and sales teams to develop cost estimates for new productsAnalyze inventory activity and support cycle counts and cost accuracy initiativesComplete month-end and year-end close responsibilities, including journal entries and reportingDevelop and maintain financial models to support decision-makingIdentify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies within the facilitySupport audit and tax preparation activities, including required documentationGenerate ad hoc reports and assist with special projects as neededQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum of 2 years of experience in cost accounting, inventory management, or financial analysisAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis, formulas, reporting tools)Experience working with ERP systems Excited to learn more about this role?
