The role offers significant exposure to partners, direct client interaction, and involvement in high-level advisory work beyond compliance.Position SummaryThis role is ideal for a technically strong Senior Tax Accountant who thrives in a client-facing, advisory-driven environment. You’ll be responsible for preparing and reviewing complex returns, collaborating with partners and external advisors, and contributing to planning and consulting engagements across a sophisticated client base.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review complex Partnership, S Corporation, Individual, Trust, and Estate tax returnsParticipate in proactive tax planning and consulting engagements throughout the yearReview and adjust client-prepared accounting and financial dataCollaborate with attorneys, wealth advisors, and external professionalsConduct tax research and prepare written technical analysesAssist with tax controversy matters, including audits and noticesMaintain ongoing client relationships and communicationIdentify planning opportunities and bring strategic ideas to partners and clientsParticipate in transactions, restructurings, and special projectsMentor and support the development of junior staffContribute to workflow improvements and AI-driven initiativesTechnical Focus AreasReal Estate & Partnership Tax704(b), 704(c), and capital account maintenance1031 exchangesSection 754 electionsIRC §163(j) limitationsPass-through entity taxation and multi-state issuesTrust & Estate / HNWTrust and estate taxationMulti-generational wealth planningComplex individual (1040) returnsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related fieldCPA designation required7–10 years of public accounting experience (mid-to-large firm preferred)Strong experience in real estate, partnerships, and HNW clientsKnowledge of complex tax structures, trusts, and multi-state taxationExperience with tools such as Lacerte, CCH Workstream, QuickBooks, and Office 365 preferredStrong communication, organization, and client management skillsProactive, solutions-oriented mindset with ability to manage multiple engagementsCompensation & BenefitsBase Salary: $150,000 – $180,000Bonus: Performance-based, paid twice per yearBenefits include:Flexible PTO program supporting work-life balanceRemote work flexibility401(k) with up to 4% employer matchCompany-subsidized health, dental, and vision insuranceContinuing education and professional development supportAdditional DetailsNo mandatory overtime; 50–55 hours/week expected during peak seasonsClients are highly sophisticated, often with multiple entities and in-house accounting teams
