ADAS Engineer - Systems Development

This role will manage ADAS components and systems from initial concept through production. You will work closely with engineering teams, suppliers, manufacturing groups, and global development partners to ensure systems meet performance, quality, cost, timing, and customer-experience targets. What You’ll Do Develop and integrate ADAS components and systems for future vehicle programs. Define system architecture, component packaging, electrical interfaces, operating parameters, and functional requirements. Support ADAS features such as Automatic Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, parking support, and camera-based systems. Create and maintain development schedules from concept through Start of Production. Coordinate project milestones, technical deliverables, and timing with suppliers and internal engineering teams. Review system requirements, supplier specifications, test plans, and validation results. Integrate ADAS software with vehicle hardware and electronic control units. Analyze CAN and CAN-FD data to evaluate system and vehicle performance. Perform vehicle, virtual, Model-in-the-Loop, and Hardware-in-the-Loop testing. Investigate software, hardware, and vehicle-level issues using structured root-cause analysis. Develop and implement corrective actions for testing, production, and field concerns. Use engineering quality tools such as DFMEA, DRBFM, and Fault Tree Analysis. Support vehicle evaluation, manufacturing, and launch activities at testing and production locations. Prepare parts lists, wiring specifications, technical reports, presentations, and other engineering documentation. Communicate project status, risks, recommendations, and technical findings to engineering leadership. Collaborate with local customers, suppliers, and international engineering teams. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or a related field. At least five years of automotive systems development, integration, or validation. Experience supporting medium- or large-scale ADAS programs from concept through production. Knowledge of vehicle electrical architecture, ECUs, CAN, and CAN-FD communication. Experience developing or validating ADAS features such as AEB, ACC, LKAS, BSM, parking assistance, and camera systems. Experience reviewing system requirements, test specifications, and supplier deliverables. Experience with root-cause analysis and corrective-action development. Programming knowledge in Python, C, or C++. Experience integrating embedded software with vehicle hardware. Experience analyzing vehicle network data and validating system performance. Familiarity with HIL, MIL, virtual simulation, or model-based development methods. Knowledge of DFMEA, DRBFM, FTA, or similar engineering quality tools. Strong project planning, organization, and task-prioritization skills. Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with international teams and senior leadership. Ability to travel to testing, manufacturing, supplier, or vehicle-event locations as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience working directly with automotive suppliers and global engineering teams. Experience supporting vehicle manufacturing, prototype builds, or production launches. Experience presenting technical recommendations to executive-level leadership.
