Mistral, Inc., a member of the Mistral Group, a team of independent companies, each operating in different markets worldwide, while collectively sharing the mission of \"Bridging\" operational gaps in the Defense and Law Enforcement markets with practical, innovative, and high readiness solutions.Mistral Group is seeking a Plant Manager, with significant experience managing strategic planning, coordination, and oversight of our manufacturing facility in Nottingham, Maryland. This role entails supervising a diverse team, including office staff, fabricators, welders, machinists, technicians, and chemists, ensuring the production of high-quality goods within cost and time constraints.Title: Plant ManagerLocation: Nottingham, MarylandKey responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Lead the daily operations of Mistral’s production and engineering center currently located at White Marsh, MD. Oversee the production process, ensuring efficient operation, cost-effectiveness, and timely output of high-quality products.Develop and manage the production schedule, project costs, and quality standards.Allocate labor and material resources effectively, adjusting plans as necessary to meet short term and annual production targets.Oversee equipment selection and maintenance, ensuring optimal performance.Implement and monitor quality control programs to uphold product standards.Oversee the Supply Chain activities including inventory.Maintain comprehensive records of material inventory, production progress, and material location.Collaborate with other departments and business activities to align production with broader company goals.Enforce health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe workplace environment.Lead, motivate, and develop a team, identifying training needs and evaluating performance.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Essential Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.5-10 years of experience in production or plant management, preferably in a related industry. Military service overseeing a maintenance facility is acceptable.Proficiency in ISO 9001:2015 preferred. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially MS Excel and MS Project, and familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems.Understanding of ASTM & AWS standards, with experience in steel fabrication.Demonstrated leadership in managing production floor operations.Comprehensive knowledge of raw materials, production processes, configuration management, quality control, and industrial equipment.Exceptional managerial, communication, and problem-solving skills.Core Competencies:Commitment to efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in production.Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.Proactive, strategic approach to problem-solving and decision-making.Effective communicator, adept at coordinating with various teams and stakeholders.Reports to: COO
