· Perform all duties of patient check in and patient work up, including, but not limited to:
Patient History and Current Complaints, Auto Refraction, Lensometry, Visual Acuity, Manifest Refraction, Pupillometry, Ocular Motility, Confrontation Fields, Color Testing, Amsler Grid, Intra-Ocular Pressures, Fundus Photography, OCT Scanning, Humphrey Visual Fields and A-Scan Biometry..
· Perform basic triage per specific protocol procedures
· Handle phone calls from patients
· Perform refractive patient consultation, education and evaluation
· Handle patient prescriptions and refills
· Clean and prepare exam and procedure rooms. Inventory, stock and order supplies
· Pre-op and assist with minor office surgeries and refractive procedures, practicing sterile technique
· Calculate and order IOL implants
· Assist with instruments on surgery days/back up scrub tech
· Prepare surgical paperwork for patients
· Schedule surgeries.
· Maintain confidentiality of patient information
· Cross train with front office duties, being able to answer phones and schedule appointments as needed
· Perform any other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
