No C2C or 3rd parties, please.Junior Project Controller role in Houston, TXContract role with hybrid work schedule (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday in office, Wednesday and Friday remote/work from home)We are seeking an energetic Project Controller to support program and project controls within a team focused on safety and operational excellence. This role plays a key part in managing financial performance across capital projects, ensuring accurate cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting.What you’ll do:Track and record project costs through work orders, purchase orders, and invoicesMonitor budgets, support forecasting, and resolve cost discrepanciesProvide financial reporting and analysis to support project estimating, contractor selection, and managementPerform final cost reconciliation and support project closeout activitiesPrepare detailed cost reports and communicate insights to project teams and leadershipAnalyze cost trends and predict future expendituresIdentify and recommend improvements to cost control and forecasting processesSupport full lifecycle project controls from initiation through closureCollaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain strong working relationshipsWhat we’re looking for:Degree in Accounting, Business, Engineering, or Project Management preferred5 years of experience in cost control on capital projectsStrong proficiency in Excel and other business software toolsExcellent communication skills with the ability to present to stakeholders at all levelsExperience analyzing cost and schedule data relationships is a plusAbility to translate data into clear, actionable insightsCollaborative mindset with a proactive approach to learning and process improvementIf you’re experienced in project cost controls and enjoy working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment, this is a great opportunity to make an impact.
