Trade Compliance & Factory Compliance Specialist (Apparel)
We are a U.S. apparel manufacturer and importer seeking a Trade Compliance & Factory Compliance Specialist with hands-on experience inside garment factories. This is NOT a freight-forwarding or logistics coordinator role. You will own C-TPAT, factory onboarding, and social compliance programs across our global vendor base.What You’ll OwnC-TPAT & Import ComplianceMaintain C-TPAT program, SVI portal, annual risk assessments, and 5-step risk analysisManage business partner screening, security questionnaires, and CBP validationsFactory Onboarding & Social ComplianceNew factory onboarding: capability audits, security assessments, social compliance pre-screeningManage annual audits for WRAP, BSCI, SMETA, or equivalent. Review CAPs and drive closure with vendorsCross-Functional ComplianceMaintain compliance documentation for customs, legal, and customer requestsSupport supply chain mapping and forced labor due diligenceRequired Qualifications – _Apparel Manufacturing Experience Mandatory_3+ years in an apparel manufacturing environment — factory, sourcing office, or brand compliance team. Applicants without direct garment factory experience will not be considered.Experience with factory audits: WRAP, BSCI, SMETA, WCA, or C-TPAT validations at cut & sew facilitiesWorking knowledge of C-TPAT Minimum Security Criteria, UFLPA, and apparel import regulationsExperience onboarding overseas garment factories, including CAP management and vendor trainingBachelor’s degree preferred.
