Assembler/ Mechanical Assembler

Job Summary This position is needed due to a surge of work in the manufacturing area. This role will be MECHANICAL assembly for flight simulators. The typical day will consist of the build of subassemblies and installations. Reads, interprets and follows blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions. Operates hand tools, electrical tools, molding, sanding/cutting of acrylic, measuring equipment and light equipment. Knowledge of and Experience Using Basic Hand Tools. Ability to Use Drill & Drill Bits Maintains inventory of product in workstations. Performs quality work checks, identifies product defects and records identified defects. Reworks and/or repairs assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes. Performs all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures. Operates Fork Trucks and Overhead Cranes to load/unload material and finished products. Maintains a clean and safe work area. Ability to Climb Up to 6 feet (25% of the time) Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Must be able to work in a standing position up to 8 hours per day. Works 100% onsite. This is a first shift role. Hours are typically 6 AM – 3:00 PM. Education: Minimum HS Diploma or Equivalent Selected candidate will need STEEL TOED BOOTS. Knowledge of and Experience Using Basic Hand Tools.
