This is the person who makes sure that every month, program participants know exactly how many points they have, what rewards they can claim, and why it matters, and that the bigger annual moments (redemption pushes, activation campaigns, and more) hit with strategy behind them, not just deadlines. This role sits at the intersection of marketing strategy, project management, and data. You’ll own the calendar, write the briefs, partner with our designers on execution, and (critically) measure what’s working and what isn’t. You’ll also be the go-to person when Program Managers need support pushing ad-hoc communications to participants, taking that work off their plates so they can stay focused on running the programs.Underneath all of it, you’ll develop and maintain a deep understanding of who our program participants are, their demographics, motivations, and behaviors, and use that knowledge to inform every campaign decision you make. The best marketers don’t guess; they know their audience. This is not a role for someone looking to be handed a checklist. We need a self-starter who can spot a gap, propose a fix, ship it, and report back on what happened. If you have a few years of marketing experience under your belt, a sharp eye for what data is telling you, and a low tolerance for “that’s how we’ve always done it,” we want to talk.Key ResponsibilitiesCampaign Strategy & ExecutionOwn the end-to-end planning, execution, and measurement of recurring participant campaigns, including Monthly Statements (every month, naturally)Plan and execute annual campaigns such as Redemption, Activation, and other strategic program moments throughout the yearWrite clear, compelling briefs that give designers and stakeholders everything they need to execute wellManage campaign calendars, timelines, and deliverables across multiple programs without dropping balls or missing deadlinesBring fresh ideas to the table: test new formats, messaging angles, send times, and segmentation approaches rather than reusing last year’s playbookTroubleshoot and resolve email campaign issues, including formatting, rendering inconsistencies, and making basic HTML adjustments as neededData & Performance AnalysisPull, analyze, and report on campaign performance using engagement, redemption, and ROI metricsTranslate data into recommendations; what should we do more of, less of, or differently next cycle?Use pivot tables, data merges, and reporting tools to manage participant lists and personalize campaigns at scaleBuild a feedback loop so each campaign gets sharper than the lastAudience Insights & Voice of the ParticipantOwn Extu’s annual Voice of the Participant (VoP) survey end-to-end, including design, distribution, analysis, and reportingSynthesize survey results into actionable audience profiles, segmentation strategies, and recommendationsMaintain a working knowledge of participant demographics, preferences, and motivations across programsApply audience insights to monthly statements, annual campaigns, and ad-hoc comms—this is continuous work, not a once-a-year projectSurface insights to Program Managers, Operations, and Leadership to inform broader decisionsProgram Communications SupportTake ownership of ad-hoc participant communications that currently sit with Program Managers, freeing them up to focus on program operationsPartner with Program Managers to understand each program’s nuances, audience, and communication needsEnsure all communications adhere to client brand standards and Extu’s quality barCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with designers to bring campaigns to life visually, you’ll brief and direct, not execute the design yourselfWork closely with the Marketing Solutions team, Program Managers, and Operations leadership to align on priorities and surface insightsRoll up your sleeves on whatever needs doing, this team is small, growing, and ambitiousQualifications1–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, campaign management, or a closely related fieldStrong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences and brandsProficiency in email development (HTML/CSS) and comfort troubleshooting email rendering, formatting, or delivery issues across platforms (e.g., Outlook, Gmail, mobile)Comfortable working with data—pivot tables, basic reporting, and translating numbers into a story you can defendCuriosity about audiences—you want to understand the people you’re marketing to, not just send them messagesProven ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines simultaneously without close supervisionStrong attention to detail, especially around brand standards, data accuracy, and proofreadingSelf-starter mindset—you bring solutions, not just problems, and you don’t wait to be told what to doOpen to feedback and constructive criticism; you understand that good work gets better when it’s pressure-testedStartup mentality—you’re willing to help peers, learn new skills, and do what it takes to get the job done rightNice to HaveExperience in B2B marketing, loyalty/incentive marketing, or channel marketingFamiliarity with marketing automation platforms, ESPs, or campaign management toolsExperience writing creative briefs or working alongside in-house or agency designersExposure to A/B testing, segmentation strategy, or campaign optimizationExperience designing or running participant/customer surveys, or working with voice-of-customer programsExperience with Salesforce or similar CRM platformsPhysical RequirementsTravel requirement – infrequentAbility to lift 10 pounds (laptop for work)Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time at a computer.Move about inside the office for meetings and to access office equipmentCommunicate verbally with clients through phone and call center software.Working ConditionsHybrid work schedule with 3 days (Tue/Wed/Thurs) in office required.Indoors, climate-controlled officeWhat We Bring To The TableWe believe work should work for you.
