Software & System Test Engineer
Role OverviewThe HILS Application Engineer supports the design, assembly, validation, and testing of Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation (HILS) systems to aid vehicle embedded software development.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute software validation test plans to ensure comprehensive coverage by project milestones.Support HIL Simulator design, including hardware selection, plant model programming, I/O channel setup, and harness design.Prepare test automation scripts aligned with system requirements.Report test results accurately, documenting tests, issues, resolutions, and investigations.Assist in designing, purchasing, and deploying new HILS systems.Maintain prototype control software and models from related teams.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related.0-2 years of relevant experience.Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, embedded control systems, and test automation tools.Knowledge of electrical and signal measurement tools; familiarity with vehicle systems and networks is a plus.Programming skills in Python and MATLAB; experience with system modeling and analysis.Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to multitask with minimal supervision.Working ConditionsWillingness to work additional hours, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform kneeling, bending, sitting, and standing.Occasional travel required; work may be on-site or remote.
