Datastage Developer

Overview In this role, you will design and build data integration and ETL solutions to support DW/BI initiatives. You will work within a global delivery context, applying Datastage and SQL expertise to deliver scalable data pipelines. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data loading, performance, and architecture while troubleshooting complex data issues. This position offers impact through shaping technical direction and delivering reliable data integration in Finance/domain environments. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and build Datastage ETL jobs and sequences for batch executionWork on DW/BI development and maintenance projects across the lifecycleReview design and architecture for Datastage solutions and data loading techniquesUtilize Unix/Linux familiarity and shell scripting in ETL processesOperate and monitor ETL jobs using Datastage Director and related toolsApply best practices for performance, CDC, and UDFs in DatastageLeverage scheduling tools (Autosys, Control-M, Tivoli) to manage workflowsPossibly contribute to data modeling, RDBMS integration (Oracle/DB2) and data loading Key requirements4+ years of back-end RDBMS and data modeling/design (Oracle/DB2 preferred)4+ years hands-on Datastage ETL design, development and build activities3+ years SDLC experience3+ years DW/BI tech and project lifecycle experience2+ years design and architecture review experienceKnowledge of Datastage architecture, stages, transformations, ETL flow, advanced SQLExperience in data loading techniques using DatastageExperience with Unix/Linux and shell scriptingStrong analytical skills and troubleshooting mindsetExperience in Financial domain and global delivery environmentstrong analytical skillstroubleshooting and problem-solvingability to work in a global delivery environmentIBM Datastage (v8.5+)Datastage DirectorCDC, UDFs, Aggregator, Join, Merge, Lookup, Source dataset stages
