Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.What You'll Be DoingOperate heavy equipment on a variety of job sites consisting of milling, paving, base repair, overlayMaintains housekeeping of job site and facilities, ensures equipment is in good working orderPerforms routine inspection and preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment if within abilities; escalates issues that are notRoutinely assists other members of the crew as needed, including shoveling and cleanupFuel, oil and grease to ensure proper function of equipment and complete associated paperworkPerforms other related activities as assignedWhat Are We Looking ForHigh School Diploma (or equivalency) AND prior relevant job experienceCDL license (A or B) with Tanker endorsement is preferredValid/Clean Driver’s LicenseAbility to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.Must have the ability to work a varied schedule of day shift, night shift, and weekends due to construction contractsAbility to operate and maintain heavy equipment (paver, skid steer, asphalt roller experience preferred)Working knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in typical site work, grading, storm/sanitary/water pipe installation, etcWorking knowledge of hazards and safety precautionsConditions of EmploymentSuccessful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.Work EnvironmentRole operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.What We Offer$36.00 per hour base pay.
