Summer Grounds Maintenance

Hord Farms is currently searching for seasonal groundskeepers to add to the landscaping crew! Candidates will have an opportunity for summer work--landscaping starting in the spring, assisting with mowing, landscaping, and various other jobs. Who We Are:The Hord family is in its 5th generation of family farming, with over 100 years of farming heritage. Located in North Central Ohio, Hord Farms is a pig, cow and grain farm. While our team of talented individuals and growing partners strive to raise our animals with care and utilize modern and advanced farming practices to be efficient and sustainable, the landscaping team is responsible for maintaining over 60 acres!A Day in the Life:As a summer grounds maintenance specialist, you will spend you days working outdoors helping maintain the properties. Typical responsibilities include:Mowing and weed removalTrimming shrubs and small treesPlanting flowers and shrubsWatering lawns and landscaped areasAssisting with general grounds maintenance projects as neededWhat You Need:Experience driving a truck and trailer preferredExperience with maintenance of mowers and other landscaping equipmentSuperior attention to detailA valid driver’s license + clean driving record are a mustAbility to lift 50 lbs., sit, bend, reach, kneel, stoop for extended periods of timeFlexibility in the work schedule.
