Description: The Prentice School District is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Lead 3K Teacher to oversee and deliver the district's 3K program. The successful candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that supports the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of young children.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early learning standards; providing engaging, hands-on instructional activities; fostering positive relationships with students and families; and promoting school readiness through play-based learning experiences. The Lead 3K Teacher will monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, communicate regularly with parents and guardians, and collaborate with district staff and community partners to support student success.
Additional responsibilities include:
Plan and organize daily classroom routines that promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Establish and maintain a classroom that supports children's independence, creativity, and exploration.
Observe, assess, and document student growth and development using appropriate assessment tools.
Differentiate instruction to meet the individual developmental needs of each child.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom while following all district policies and state licensing requirements.
Collaborate with administrators, special education staff, related service providers, and other educators to support student learning.
Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and required district training.
Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, meals, recess, and other assigned duties.
Perform other duties as assigned by the district administration.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred.
Ability to connect with young learners and support their unique developmental, academic, social, and emotional needs.
Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate instructional practices.
Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, and colleagues.
Willingness to support other educational staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
