Manufacturing Drafter

Position SummaryThe Manufacturing Drafter is responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining detailed manufacturing drawings and associated technical documentation used to support production. This role works closely with Manufacturing Engineers and Operations to ensure drawings accurately reflect manufacturing intent, approved configurations, and quality requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesDrafting & CAD Support Create and revise manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and detail drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks/CATIA)Maintain accurate 2D drawings derived from approved CAD models and engineering inputsApply appropriate dimensions, tolerances, notes, and specifications to support manufacturing and inspectionManufacturing Documentation Update and maintain drawings to support production changes and correctionsIncorporate redlines, markups, and engineering changes into released documentationEnsure drawings clearly communicate manufacturing intent and are suitable for shop‐floor useDrawing Control & Accuracy Ensure drawings comply with company drafting standards, design practices, and configuration control requirementsVerify drawing accuracy, completeness, and revision status prior to releaseAssist with maintaining organized and traceable drawing records within document control or PDM systemsRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in drafting/design engineering, engineering technology, or a related engineering field (or equivalent experience)3+ years of experience creating manufacturing or production drawingsProficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar)Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsStrong attention to detail and documentation accuracyBasic understanding of manufacturing processes and shop‐floor practicesPreferred Qualifications Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment (aerospace, defense, medical, industrial)Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Experience with document control or PDM systemsUnderstanding of quality systems such as AS9100 or ISO 9001What We OfferCompetitive salary based on experienceComprehensive benefits package (health, dental, 401k, etc.)Opportunities for professional growth and advancementSupportive team environment and modern facilitiesPowered by JazzHR
