Mitigation Technician

Mitigation TechnicianNorth Canton, OH 44720The Mitigation Technician is responsible for the hands-on execution of water, fire, and mold restoration projects. You will work under the direction of a Project Manager or Lead Technician to ensure all mitigation tasks are completed professionally, safely, and on schedule. This is an At-Will position requiring 24/7 availability for emergency responses, except during pre-scheduled time off.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Field Execution: Perform water extraction, carpet/floor cleaning, and fire/smoke damage restoration tasksDemolition & Removal: Conduct controlled demolition after water, fire, or mold damage, including the removal of debris, carpets, pads, drywall, and insulationEquipment Management: Set up and monitor specialized equipment such as dehumidifiers, air movers, air scrubbers, and negative air machines for containmentMoisture Monitoring: Use tools to detect moisture levels and accurately enter data into tracking software (e.g., Moisture Mapper)Site Maintenance: Assist in general cleanup, equipment maintenance, and moving customer contents safely away from work areasCompliance & Safety: Strictly follow all safety rules and regulations to prevent hazards to yourself, the team, and the customerDocumentation: Assist in submitting samples (e.g., to ITEL) and maintaining accurate job files as directedKEY SKILLS & ABILITIES: Technical Proficiency: Ability to operate commercial extraction equipment and hand/power tools safelyPhysical Stamina: Capacity to haul debris, move heavy furniture/supplies, and work in physically demanding environmentsDetail Oriented: Ability to detect wet structural surfaces and affected contents accuratelyProblem Solving: Think analytically to resolve unexpected issues that arise on-site during a disaster recoveryProfessionalism: Maintain a positive company image when interacting with staff and customersWe are an equal opportunity employer, and we are an organization that values diversity.
