We are seeking a skilled Project Manager/Estimator to join the team and contribute to continued success.Responsibilities+ Oversee all phases of heavy civil construction projects from pre-construction to completion.+ Prepare accurate cost estimates for bids.+ Manage project budgets, schedules, and client relationships effectively.+ Coordinate project activities, ensuring adherence to construction plans and specifications.+ Handle change orders and requests for information (RFIs) efficiently.Essential Skills+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 3 years in project management and/or estimating.+ Proficiency in estimating software such as HCSS HeavyBid, B2W, or similar.+ Experience with project management tools like Procore or MS Project.+ Strong understanding of heavy civil construction techniques including earthwork, paving, utilities, and concrete work.+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.+ Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts.+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).+ Associate degree candidates will also be considered.+ PMP, CCM, or similar certifications are a plus.+ Valid driver's license required.Work EnvironmentThis role operates primarily in a Heavy Civil Construction Environment, with 90% of the time spent in the office and 10% visiting job sites. The standard work hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM. The company has been in business for over 100 years and holds a strong local reputation.
