Job Title: Corrosion Control / Cathodic Protection Technician II Location: Silverdale, WAJob Type: Full-TimeCitizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizenship requiredPosition SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Corrosion Control / Cathodic Protection Technician II to support the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of impressed current and sacrificial anode cathodic protection systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with corrosion control equipment and techniques and demonstrate a strong understanding of electrochemical principles and industrial coatings. This role involves both field and technical work and requires the ability to produce reports and data analysis using PC-based tools.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, inspect, maintain, and repair impressed current and sacrificial anode cathodic protection systems using hand tools and specialized equipment.Prepare and utilize test instruments to conduct field tests, collect data, and support the preparation of technical reports.Conduct preliminary data analysis and escalate findings for further review when needed.Remove, repair, and restore industrial coatings used in corrosion prevention.Maintain, troubleshoot, and replace cathodic protection systems and associated components.Utilize PC-based programs for data entry, system documentation, and report generation.Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of tools and equipment.Support cross-functional tasks when required, within scope of responsibilities.Maintain compliance with safety standards and company procedures.Qualifications and RequirementsRequired:Minimum of 2 years of experience in corrosion control/cathodic protection.An Associate's degree in engineering, physical sciences, or related field may be substituted for experience if coursework included physics, chemistry, and mathematics.NACE CIP3 certification (National Association of Corrosion Engineers).Knowledge of the operation and repair of cathodic protection systems, including electrical/electronic components.Familiarity with industrial coatings and electrochemical corrosion principles.Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and blueprints.Proficiency in using electrical/electronic test equipment.Basic math and effective communication skills.Valid state driver's license and an acceptable driving record.Must be able to meet physical demands of the position, including respirator qualification.Must successfully pass drug screening and background check.Preferred SkillsStrong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.Experience working in a government contracting or military installation environment is a plus.
