Scheduler (Specialist)

Job DescriptionSupports project management through analysis and ownership of the project schedule/plan for large natural gas growth projects ranging from $50M to $1B TIC. Responsible for creating and updating the overall owner’s schedule and managing detailed construction schedules. Collaborates with project managers on development and review of project plans, schedules, and resources. Develops and implements project controls and monitoring procedures to ensure achievement of project scope and schedule objectives. Collects, analyzes, and reports on project data and costs from engineering, procurement, construction, and accounting stakeholders.Education and Experience RequirementsDegree in Business Management, Engineering, Project Management, or Construction Management preferred (relevant experience considered in lieu of degree)10+ years of experience in gas pipeline, oil & gas, or construction projects preferredStrong understanding of the construction project lifecycleResponsibilities & AccountabilitiesBuild, update, and analyze detailed project schedules; review contractor submittalsDevelop and maintain integrated master schedules from pre-FEED through in-serviceProvide schedule updates, summary reports, and lead schedule review meetingsValidate schedule accuracy (critical path, constraints, durations, logic, scope)Ensure contractor progress measurement processes are followedDevelop and maintain Excel-based progress tracking tools as neededCommunicate schedule impacts, risks, and changes to project teamsTrack and document internal/external scheduling issues and lessons learnedSupport delay analysis, what-if scenarios, and recovery planningProvide earned value (EVM), progress, and schedule reportingSupport bid package development, evaluation, and contract administrationParticipate in cost and schedule risk assessmentsPartner with Project Managers on planning decisions tied to cost, progress, and resourcesIdentify process improvement opportunitiesMaintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
