Title: DIGITAL UI/UX Designer 1Location: Clayton, NC- 100% onsitePay: $27/hr on w2- no flex with rateHours: 8-5 Monday through Friday (40 hour work week)Type: ContractLength: 24 monthsScreenings: no tech, full panel drug and background once hiredIV process: 2 rounds- 1 hour panel IV+optional benefits, long term contract with ability to extend or convert to full timeEducation & Experience Required:min0-2 years of relevant experienceDegree requirement: Top Candidates will have a BS Degree in UX/UI, Human Factors, Psychology, Ergonomics or related discipline. 2-year Associates Degree is acceptablePrevious experience as a UI Designer, with top candidates having UI development experience with Off-Road Heavy Equipment displays.Previous experience using Figma for wireframing, prototyping, simulations, and specification documentationExperience working with software engineers in relation to UI Design & product design architectureProficiency in MS OfficeKnowledge of Human-Centered Design principles and ability to apply these principles in product design(Desired) Experience soliciting feedback from Off-Road Heavy Equipment operatorsSummary:The main function of the User Experience Designer is to design intuitive and user-centered interfaces for next generation machine displays.Responsibilities:Product Design: Analyze and understand how operators interact with construction equipment in real-world environments. Collaborate with users and internal team members to understand & define requirements. Develop UI concept layouts based on available display screen sizes and based on information needed by our internal & external customers. Collaborate with cross functional teams throughout our value chain to develop concepts into mature, validated, production-ready designs.Simulation: When needed, build high fidelity interactive prototype concepts within Figma for internal user reviews. Refine designs based on internal reviews and simulated user interactions.Test/Validation/Hands On: When needed, complete user testing in a virtual and/or real-world environment to understand & quantify the user’s experience. Use qualitative and quantitative data to identify pain points and areas for improvement.
