Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA's metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.Job Description/Preferred QualificationsAre you inquisitive, flourishes with challenge, resourceful, resilient, and enjoy problem solving? If so, you are well positioned as an aspirant to HPC Team in Reticle and Photomask Inspection Division (RAPID).RAPID HPC Team is charted to provide pioneering High Performance Computing solutions in enabling-Image processing algorithms for Reticle/Photomask inspections in real time. As a HPC product design engineer, you would Design and Engineer an embedded HPC Cluster which is a critical sub-system in KLA Photo Mask inspection tool. Your primary responsibilities include leading and driving efforts to prototype groundbreaking computational technologies, optimize cost, computation time and collaborate with peers to transition prototypes to production. Additional job responsibilities include develop computational models, performance characterization, qualification of the technology stack, diagnostics development, enhance monitoring and observability, coordinating NPI, developing documentation, and support critical issues for new and legacy products.Required Technical Qualifications:Skilled in Shell scripting and Python, with experience designing and implementing reusable modules.Data science background with the ability to develop highperformance computational modelsIn-depth knowledge of one or more flavors of Linux: SUSE, Red hat, CentOS, Alma, UbuntuExperience with customizing BIOS, Disk partitioning, RAID utilities, Net boot/PXE, System-D, and Linux HA.Experience with few listed Configuration Mgmt utilities. (Ansible, Salt, Chef, Puppet etc.)Experience with Server Hardware, GPUs, Familiarity with CUDA, RAID/HBA Controllers, and PFS based Storage Technologies like Lustre or BeeGFSInterconnected Network configuration experience. Ex setup, customization, monitoring of InfiniBand, Ethernet, RDMA, ROCE v2.Have superior understanding of x86 Hardware Platform stack, and proven track record for modelling workloads and benchmark performance.Prefer Qualifications:Knowledge of PKI & SSL/TLS certificate managementKnowledge of KLA processes & procedures added plusTrack record in developing visualizations and developing observability stackUnderstanding of Cable Types, signal integrity specs, qualification and characterization.Possess a strong DevOps focus: Knowledge of setting up a continuous development pipeline (Jenkins), Repository software (Git-based), Docker Containers.Minimum QualificationsDoctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 yearsBase Pay Range: $136,300.00 - $231,700.00 AnnuallyPrimary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLAKLA's total rewards package for employees may also include participation in performance incentive programs and eligibility for additional benefits including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life, and other voluntary benefits, 401(K) including company matching, employee stock purchase program (ESPP), student debt assistance, tuition reimbursement program, development and career growth opportunities and programs, financial planning benefits, wellness benefits including an employee assistance program (EAP), paid time off and paid company holidays, and family care and bonding leave.Interns are eligible for some of the benefits listed.
