Maintenance Equipment TechnicianThe Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure equipment and facilities are operating efficiently and safely. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery, and infrastructure.Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM 4:00 PM. Flexibility: May be required to cover second shift and weekends as needed.How you'll spend your day:Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.Repair and replace defective parts using hand tools and power tools.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.Collaborate with other departments to support operational needs.Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly.Operate and maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.Your experience and qualifications:High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.Minimum 5-10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or a related field.Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and safety practices.Basic electrical troubleshooting skills required.Low pressure boiler license preferred.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Must be able to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team.Flexibility to cover second shift and weekends when needed.Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments.Preferred Skills: Experience with HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems. Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.Work Environment: May involve exposure to loud noises, hazardous materials, and varying temperatures. Salary The annual starting salary for this position is between $71,440 to $89,300 annually. Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
