Job Summary
An Associate Program Manager supports program operations and activities within a focused group of clients, interfacing with various departments and regional personnel as direct support for Program Managers. The role serves a valuable support role to the Program Management team, promoting high quality and consistent client experiences across all aspects of the program, and assisting in aligning priorities between regional branch and program operations. Position is an in-office or hybrid role, with emphasis on working in the branch to establish relationships and intimately understand the branch operations.
Responsibilities
Administrative Oversight: support program management in the review of regular administrative tasks for accuracy and quality control (invoicing, informal and formal reporting, etc.)
Reporting: support project managers and the program managers with all aspects of reporting, including preparation, execution and review for both internal and external audiences.
Program Management: support program level monitoring and control activities related to report reviews and KPI management.
Resource Planning: support resource planning with Program and Project Managers and Branch operations.
Business Alignment: collaborate with regional and branch operations to maximize the use of resources and align priorities between branch and program teams.
Leadership: lead by example to influence and enforce program standards and operating protocols, resulting in a consistent and positive client experience. Serve as the operational backup to the Program Manager when needed.
Standardization: contribute to the development and creation of processes and tools, influencing operational standards for both client programs and the program department.
Other duties: as assigned to support all operational aspects of the program.
Required Qualifications
Experience: minimum 3 years of progressive experience in a project management or similar role in security integration, ideally with experience managing complex projects and/or multiple concurrent projects.
Market Knowledge: understanding of the low-voltage construction industry, and operational influences related to project and program delivery, including regulated markets.
Operational Focus: hands-on approach to project and program management.
Problem–Solving / Adaptability: flexibility to handle various scenarios, and ability to identify areas for improvement and willingness to take initiative to solve.
Analytic Skills: ability to analyze program financial and operational data to identify trends and actionable insights, backed by a strong understanding of financial management.
Communication and Collaboration: strong interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with branch stakeholders, and translate program goals to align with local and regional branches and departmental priorities.
Detail Oriented: demonstrates a thorough and detailed focus in all aspects of work, ensuring an outcome of accuracy and precision.
Soft Skills: excellent written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills, well organized, highly motivated and independent worker, with ability to manage time effectively.
Technical Skills: advanced proficiency with an ERP system(s) (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics MD365 preferred, SAP, Coins), Power BI and Microsoft Office including advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Associate's or bachelor's degree in a technical capacity.
Project Management Professional (PMP): Highly beneficial as it demonstrates a deep understanding of project management methodologies to allow for improved support.
Physical Demands
Must be able to communicate effectively, see, hear, speak, and write clearly. Manual dexterity required for occasional reaching, lifting of light office objects, and operating office equipment.
Working Conditions
The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted, and ventilated. Noise levels are considered low to moderate.
Compensation
$105,000 - $145,000 (DOE)
Working Hours
The position generally works Monday-Friday, overtime and on-call when necessary.
