Seeking a dynamic Board Certified/Board Eligible General Surgeon; Colorectal/ General Surgeons welcome. The surgery group is presently comprised of one general surgeon and one general/vascular surgeon. The call schedule is 1:3. Wisconsin has a very favorable malpractice climate, including caps on non-economic damages (Bill AB 1073 passed March 2006). Our practice allows for opportunity to spend time with family and friends and pursue interests outside of medicine. This is an employed position with excellent compensation and benefits. The acuity rate is consistent with a 24% admission rate. Four ??? 3-man paramedic teams are available for transfer of patients requiring care unavailable at Holy Family Memorial. Approximately 15 patients per month are transferred to a tertiary care center located within 30 minutes by ground. The Emergency Medicine Department is staffed with 24 hour MD coverage and has a full compliment of sub-specialists on-call. The department sees 13,000 patients per year (1.5 patients/ hour).
