Dialysis Chronic Care Registered Nurse (RN)Job Type: Full-TimeSchedule: 40 hours/week overtime as neededGuaranteed Hours: Minimum 36 hours/week (see details below)Experience Required: 12 months recent dialysis experienceFloating: Required within 50 miles About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Dialysis Chronic Care Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD). In this role, you will deliver safe and effective hemodialysis treatments while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary care team focused on clinical excellence and patient outcomes.This position is ideal for RNs with chronic dialysis experience who value meaningful patient relationships, consistency, and professional growth within nephrology nursing. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive pre-, intra-, and post-dialysis assessmentsDeliver safe and effective hemodialysis treatmentsMonitor patient response and adjust treatment plans as appropriateAdminister medications per physician orders and approved clinical protocolsEducate patients and families on dialysis care, treatment plans, and lifestyle considerationsCollaborate with nephrologists, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary team membersDelegate tasks appropriately to Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), LPNs/LVNs, and nursing staffRespond to emergency situations when requiredMaintain accurate, timely clinical documentationEnsure proper laboratory collection, processing, and follow-upParticipate in staff training, orientation, and quality improvement initiatives Required QualificationsGraduate of an accredited School of NursingActive RN license in the state of practiceCurrent CPR / BLS certificationAt least 1 year of nephrology nursing experience within the past 2 yearsChronic hemodialysis experience requiredAbility to meet all state nursing practice requirements Schedule & Floating ExpectationsShifts will be discussed in detail during the interview processThe role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with overtime and floating to area sites as neededFloating is required to locations within 50 miles of the primary site Guaranteed Hours & Eligibility (Required)There is a minimum guarantee of 36 hours per weekPlease note: You are NOT eligible for guaranteed hours if any of the following occur:Schedule requests or restrictionsRefusal to float to required sitesLate arrival to a scheduled shiftLeaving a shift earlyCalling out of a scheduled shiftPlanned or unplanned time off Physical & Work EnvironmentHands-on patient care requires standing, bending, lifting, and assisting with patient mobilityOccasional movement of dialysis equipment (with assistance)Healthcare setting with moderate noise levelsExposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious materialsOccasional travel to training or alternate sites may be required Candidates are required to complete an Ishihara Color Vision Test.
