Senior / Senior Data EngineerLocation: West Hollywood, CA | OnsiteCompensation: $250K–$300K base + 20% bonus + equityWe’re building cutting-edge AI technology that helps organizations make sense of massive amounts of complex data. We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer who wants to work on challenging problems at the intersection of data engineering, AI, and knowledge systems.This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll build production data pipelines, connect data from different sources, and help turn messy, unstructured information into data that AI systems can actually understand and use.What You’ll DoBuild and improve data ingestion and ETL pipelines using Python and SQL.Connect data from databases, APIs, files, documents, and other systems.Work with both structured and unstructured data such as documents, text, imagery, logs, and sensor data.Build systems that clean, normalize, match, and organize data from different sources.Help apply LLMs and AI to data processing, document understanding, extraction, and data matching.Build reliable, scalable data systems that can run in cloud, on-prem, and secure environments.Ensure data is accurate, traceable, secure, and properly governed.Work closely with engineers and customers to understand complex data and turn it into reusable solutions.At the Staff level, help shape architecture and mentor other engineers.What We’re Looking For7+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experienceStrong Python and SQL skillsExperience building production data pipelines / ETL systemsExperience integrating data from multiple sources, APIs, databases, or file formatsExperience working with large, messy, or unstructured datasetsExperience with Kafka or another streaming technologyStrong understanding of data modeling and data architectureExperience with AI/LLMs, data processing, or machine learning applicationsExperience building reliable systems that operate in productionStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with unfamiliar dataBonus PointsExperience with:Knowledge graphs or vector databasesOCR / document processingGeospatial dataLakehouse technologiesData lineage and governanceOn-premises or air-gapped environmentsDefense, government, intelligence, or other highly secure environmentsImportantU.S. citizenship requiredMust be eligible to work on ITAR/export-controlled programsSecurity clearance is a plusThis is an onsite role in West Hollywood, CA
