Job Title: Print Production / Mail Operations Specialist Location: Portland, OR Pay Rate: $21.00/hr Work Site: The Standard Insurance Center Building - 900 SW 5th Ave, Portland, OR 97204 Interview Process: Phone and In-Person Interviews Dress Code: Business Casual with Closed-Toe Shoes Job Summary: We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Print Production / Mail Operations Specialist to support overnight print and mail production operations in a professional office environment. This role involves operating high-speed industrial printers, preparing printed materials for distribution, maintaining print equipment, and supporting mailroom operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to follow detailed procedures in a fast-paced production setting. Key Responsibilities: Operate high-speed industrial printers and document imaging equipment Print, organize, and prepare large-volume document output for distribution Bundle and secure printed materials using strapping and bindery equipment Refill printers with paper and supplies while monitoring equipment functionality Perform daily quality checks and troubleshoot paper jams or equipment issues Maintain production logs, service records, and supply inventories Support mailroom operations including shipping, receiving, sorting, and postage processing Use document imaging and document management systems according to established procedures Deliver completed jobs to designated internal locations Assist with bindery, finishing, filing, and housekeeping tasks as needed Operate office and production equipment including copiers, scanners, postage meters, paper cutters, stackers, joggers, and electric staplers Maintain organized and well-stocked production and copier areas Provide professional customer support regarding job status and service requests Lift and move paper boxes and materials weighing up to 50-55 lbs as required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required 1-2 years of experience in print production, copy services, mailroom operations, or a related field preferred Experience working with high-speed printers or production print equipment preferred Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly Basic PC, Microsoft Office, and email skills required Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Excellent organizational and customer service skills Ability to work independently and in a physically active environment Preferred Skills: Print Production Operations High-Speed Printer Operation Mailroom & Shipping Services Document Imaging Systems Bindery & Finishing Equipment Quality Control & Inspection Inventory & Supply Management Technical Troubleshooting Production Documentation & Reporting Team Collaboration & Communication Equal Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected Veterans The Know Your Rights poster is available here: https://www.eeoc.gov/sites/default/files/2023-06/22-088_EEOC_KnowYourRights6.12.pdf The pay transparency policy is available here: https://www.dol.gov/sites/dolgov/files/ofccp/pdf/pay-transp_%20English_formattedESQA508c.pdf For temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, AppleOne is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required.
