Java Developer - DevOps, CI/CD & Terraform

*Key Responsibilities* * Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring/Spring Boot. * Develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend services and REST APIs. * Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, and production support. * Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application build, testing, deployment, and release management. * Implement DevOps best practices across development and deployment environments. * Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform. * Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployments using Terraform. * Collaborate with DevOps, cloud, QA, security, and architecture teams to improve deployment reliability and application quality. * Integrate automated unit, integration, security, and quality checks into CI/CD pipelines. * Troubleshoot application, build, deployment, and infrastructure issues across environments. * Implement monitoring, logging, and operational improvements for production applications. * Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to enterprise development standards. * Support containerized applications and cloud-native deployment practices. * Continuously identify opportunities to improve automation, scalability, performance, and engineering efficiency. *Required Qualifications* * 7+ years of professional software development experience. * Strong hands-on experience with Java/J2EE development. * Strong experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot. * Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices. * Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software engineering principles. * Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. * Strong experience with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD platforms. * Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). * Strong experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket and source-code management. * Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle. * Experience working with Docker and containerized applications. * Good understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. * Experience with automated deployment and environment management. * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills. *Preferred Qualifications* * Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift. * Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services. * Knowledge of Terraform modules, remote state, workspaces, and reusable infrastructure components. * Experience implementing DevSecOps practices within CI/CD pipelines. * Familiarity with SonarQube, Nexus/Artifactory, Docker registries, and security scanning tools. * Experience with Kafka or messaging technologies. * Experience with relational and NoSQL databases. * Knowledge of observability tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, or Prometheus. * Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. *Technical Skills* Primary: Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs DevOps: CI/CD, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Infrastructure: Terraform, Infrastructure as Code Cloud: AWS / Azure / GCP Containers: Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift Build & SCM: Maven, Gradle, Git, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket Quality & Security: SonarQube, SAST/DAST, automated testing Monitoring: Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana *Education* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred. *What We’re Looking For* We are looking for a hands-on Java engineer who can bridge application development and DevOps—someone comfortable writing production-quality Java code while also building CI/CD automation and managing infrastructure through Terraform.
