Human Resources Representative (Costa Mesa)

OVERVIEW: The Human Resource Representative is responsible for the administrative support to the employees of Beauty International and to the HR Department in a variety of tasks and responsibilities.MAJOR ACTIVITIES PERFORMED:1. Provide clerical and administrative support for Human Resources functions.2. Monitor and manage incoming emails and mail.3. Set appointments and arrange meetings.4. Assist employees and management in interpreting and applying HR policies and Wage & Hour law.5. Record employee information in HRIS systems such as personal data, compensation, benefit deductions, tax data,transfers, direct deposits, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason.6. Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information to authorized persons.7. Update employee files to document HR actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses.8. Compile data from personnel records and prepare/update spreadsheets and other reports.9. Perform Human Resources and file audits when necessary.10. Coordinate HR projects and maintain the HR calendar.11. Serve as a partner to the Human Resources team, collaborating on efforts where appropriate.12. Provides excellent customer service, responding to all inquiries within 8 or less working hours.13. Participate fully in meetings, trainings and team building events.14. Follow and comply with the Company's Employee Handbook, policies, and procedures and work rules.15. Adhere to the concept of team, aligning to and supporting the company's vision, mission, and goals.16. Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2+ years' experience in administrativefunctions or equivalent experience; Strong computer skills to learn new systems quickly, along withproficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. Excellentverbal and written communication skills required.Preferred: Minimum qualifications plus, Associates Degree or higher (HR, Communications or related field),2+ years' experience in Human Resources. Experience in multi-unit/multi-state retail operations andconsumer products organizations with a large workforce of over 1,000 team members. BilingualSpanishGeneral Information: In order to perform the essential job functions of this position, candidate must be able tocompose/write descriptive reports; use appropriate techniques to implement programmatic activities;successfully complete mandated training courses. Must be able to enter and maintain data withaccuracy and no errors.
