Accounting Manager

Accounting ManagerLocation: Indianapolis, IN (south side)Compensation: $120,000-$125,000 depending on experienceWork Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) after training periodKey ResponsibilitiesLead daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, general ledger, payroll coordination, and fixed assets.Oversee monthend and yearend close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.Manage standard costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and costofgoodssold reporting.Partner with plant operations to analyze production costs, scrap, labor efficiency, and margin performance.Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning.Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audit activities.Supervise and develop accounting staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in manufacturing.Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and standard cost systems.
