Conti’s Solar Division supports developers, IPPs, and owners with integrated utility‑scale solar and battery energy storage EPC services, ranging from early‑stage development through construction and commissioning.This role is a critical contributor within Conti’s Solar estimating and preconstruction team.Position SummaryThe EPC Estimator – Solar & BESS is responsible for supporting the pricing, scope review, and estimating efforts for utility‑scale solar and battery storage projects. Working closely with the Chief Estimator, this role focuses on detailed scope analysis and cost development related to EPC components, including fencing, racking, piling, balance of plant (BOP), and material procurement.The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience estimating solar and BESS projects, understands how individual scopes impact overall EPC pricing, and thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced pursuit environment.Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating & Scope DevelopmentDevelop detailed estimates for utility‑scale solar and BESS projects, supporting EPC pricing effortsAnalyze and quantify scope related to: FencingRacking systemsPiling and foundationsMajor materials and equipmentBalance of Plant (BOP) componentsPerform quantity takeoffs, pricing validation, and scope comparisonsIdentify cost drivers, risks, and value‑engineering opportunitiesRFP & Proposal SupportSupport the full RFP process in collaboration with the Chief EstimatorReview RFP documents, specifications, drawings, and commercial requirementsAssist in development of competitive pricing strategies and proposal inputsCoordinate with internal engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure complete scope coverageCollaboration & Project HandoffWork hand‑in‑hand with the Chief Estimator to align pricing assumptions and execution strategiesSupport budget reviews, pricing clarifications, and proposal revisionsAssist with post‑award budget validation and transition to project execution teamsMarket & Technical AwarenessMaintain awareness of market trends affecting solar and BESS EPC pricing, including material costs and labor conditionsUnderstand utility‑scale construction methodologies and sequencingSupport refinement of estimating tools, databases, and pricing modelsRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in estimating or preconstruction for utility‑scale solar and/or battery storage projectsStrong understanding of EPC scope for utility‑scale constructionExperience with scope elements including racking, foundations, fencing, xaygatp and BOPAbility to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentsFamiliarity with EPC contracting structures and pricing methodologiesProficiency in Excel and estimating/takeoff software toolsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting projects in the 30MW–200MW DC rangeExposure to battery energy storage systems (BESS) pricingExperience working within a dedicated EPC estimating teamPrior collaboration with senior estimating or preconstruction leadershipGrowth OpportunityOpportunity to grow into senior estimating or leadership roles within Conti’s Solar DivisionExposure to large‑scale, high‑profile renewable energy projectsWhy Join Conti SolarDirect collaboration with executive‑level estimating leadershipOpportunity to deepen EPC and utility‑scale expertiseStable platform with growing solar and BESS project pipelineClear career path within a specialized renewable energy EPC group
