Our teams combine field expertise with technical excellence to build facilities that protect public health and the environment.Essential FunctionsThe estimator will assist Project Mangers in all aspects of the bid/estimating process from the review of plans and specifications, estimating material cost and craft labor productivity, soliciting and negotiating prices from subcontractors/suppliers through the completion of the bid/estimating effort for a variety of water/wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects.ResponsibilitiesPerform detailed electrical takeoffs from:Project SpecificationsOne Line DiagramsP&IDsControl schematicsMCC and VFD schedulesLighting, grounding, and site plansNetwork DiagramsRiser DiagramsMeasure & QuantifyMedium- and low-voltage distribution switchgearMCCs, VFDs, soft starters, Lighting & Power PanelsLocal & Vendor Control PanelsPLC's, RIO's, I/O PointsInstrumentation and control wiringUnderground duct banks and racewaysProcess equipment power and controlPrecast Concrete Manholes, Transformers PadQualifications Minimum of five (5) years construction experience estimating in water/wastewater or heavy civil industry. Design-build and Construction Manager at risk experience a plus McCormick Estimating Software experience desirable Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (such as Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) as well as use of the internet Have a basic understanding of all disciplines of construction & sequence of construction Develop relationships with General Contractors and Clients Identify cost associated with the General & Special Conditions Develop estimates that can be used to develop budgets & schedulesApply Productivity Factors Specific ToComplicated projectsConfined spacesPhased shutdowns and bypass pumpingCompressed schedulesWorking Conditions100% of the time is spent in an office environment, working in Upland, CA or San Marcos, CA.Electrical Estimator
