We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible Spending, a 401k with employer matching, paid holidays, Life and Disability Insurance, and additional supplemental products.SMG is seeking a Senior Safety Advisor in Lebanon, Indiana.The key functions of this position are managing teams/departments and providing oversight of program execution and ownership.Overview Of Job ResponsibilitiesManage teams/departments, oversight of program execution, and program ownershipSupport project leadership with safety on a mega construction projectPartner with the project team to support the proper execution of all local/State/and Federal safety requirementsServe as a liaison between the client and contractors, fulfilling operating procedures and safety policiesPartner with the project team and all trade partners to build and maintain a safety culture aligned with the client's visionConduct safety observations and establish appropriate corrective actions for all unsafe conditions or practices identified during field visitsKeep stakeholders informed of the safety performance of the contractors working on the projectFacilitates Incident Reporting ProceduresProvide safety "boots on the ground" resources for the client to ensure program executionProvide coaching to contractors when gaps are identified and communicate safety expectationsInfluence proper execution of safety plans and participate in event investigationsRequirements10+ years of construction safety experienceThree-plus years of experience managing teams/departments, overseeing program execution, and managing program ownershipPrevious Commissioning experienceDegree in Safety or related fieldsPrevious safety leadership experienceOSHA 30-Hour Construction CoursePhysical Demands of the job may includeMoving about long distancesAscending/Descending stairs and laddersRemaining in a stationary position for a prolonged periodWorking in extreme weatherBeing exposed to loud noisesWearing personal protective gear correctlyJoin an elite group of Safety Professionals!SMG provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
