Database Administrator Chicago IL / Dallas TX (3 days Onsite) Overview:We are seeking a Database Administrator to design, develop, and maintain scalable database solutions that meet performance, security, and organizational standards. In this role, you will contribute throughout the full system development lifecycle, optimize database and application performance, and ensure database environments operate efficiently within established resource and operational guidelines.ResponsibilitiesAssists with the design, implementation, and maintaining databasesManage database performance and disk usageProvides support in database access methodsProvides consultation support in database analysis, modeling, coding, and production problem resolution.Develops maintenance, backup and recovery procedures and documentationParticipates in Disaster Recovery DrillsProvides Primary On-Call Support for production problemsUnderstands and supports corporate data standardsRecommends and assists with new DBMS and operational standards.Participates in testing and in evaluations of new software and software release upgradesSupports business studies, proposal teams and costing/feasibility studiesPrepares system documentationMaintains metadata repositoriesQualificationsRequired Qualifications:3+ years’ experience as an associate DBAProficient in DML, DDL, and database utilities for at least two DBMS technologiesProficient in all access methods of a DBMS as well as the underlying operating system access methodsBachelor s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business3+ years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server1+ year Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins & CI/CD skills or enthusiastic to learn1+ year PostgreSQLPreferred QualificationsRelated financial industry experienceMicrosoft Certified: Database Administrator Associate
