SQL Database AdministratorSalary: $115k-$135k + bonusLocation: Chicago, ILHybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote*We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role*QualificationsBachelor’s degree3-5 years’ experience as an associate DBA3-5 years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server3-5 years' experience with PostgreSQLProficient in DML, DDL, and database utilities for at least two DBMS technologiesProficient in all access methods of a DBMS as well as the underlying operating system access methodsBonus Points (will learn)Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins & CI/CD skills or enthusiastic to learnMicrosoft Certified: Database Administrator AssociateResponsibilitiesAssists with the design, implementation, and maintaining databasesManage database performance and disk usageProvides support in database access methodsProvides consultation support in database analysis, modeling, coding, and production problem resolution.Develops maintenance, backup and recovery procedures and documentationParticipates in Disaster Recovery DrillsProvides Primary On-Call Support for production problemsUnderstands and supports corporate data standardsRecommends and assists with new DBMS and operational standards.Participates in testing and in evaluations of new software and software release upgradesSupports business studies, proposal teams and costing/feasibility studiesPrepares system documentationMaintains metadata repositories
