Staff Auditor

Ary Roepcke Mulchaey’s (ARM CPA’s) audit team is seeking a full-time staff auditor to join our growing firm! RESPONSIBILITIES:Participate in audit, review and compilation engagements, including all aspects of fieldwork and wrap-up activitiesWork on audits at client locations, primarily in the Central Ohio area, in a team-based environmentBeing proficient in accounting standards to produce clear, well-structured and effective audit documentationGain an understanding of the flow of audit engagements, including substantive testing procedures for each account or classification in the financial statementsConduct audit engagements in accordance with generally accepted auditing standardsPerform detailed audit procedures on financial statement account balances, prepare and adjust workpapers from clients trial balanceAnalyze financial records for variances and provide explanationsIdentify and communicate audit issues, technical matters and improvement opportunities to resolve client issues discovered during the auditResearch accounting issues QUALIFICATIONS:Highly motivated with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlinesExcellent time management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skillsAbility to thrive in a dynamic team environmentStrong organizational skill and attention to detailDedicated to superior client servicePrior work experience (up to 2 years) as an auditor at a public accounting firm is valued but not requiredProficient understanding of Microsoft Office software programs along with a foundational understanding of AI concepts with a strong capability to identify problems where AI could be applied.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field ABOUT ARM: As a growing CPA firm, our dynamic culture makes us a Best Place to Work.
