Find your future with us.The Boeing Company’s Production Systems Training (PST) team is currently seeking an Employee Development Specialist Manager to join our team in Huntsville, AL! This individual will act as the onsite Manager for the Huntsville Apprenticeship at the local community college.The selected candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations for Production Systems Training Apprenticeship for Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), Manufacturing and Quality Learning Solutions. Additional management responsibilities include guidance to other BDS Apprenticeship sites.Position Responsibilities:Manage a team responsible for the development and delivery of Learning Solutions for the fabrication, assembly and delivery of aircraft/aerospace productsDeliver certification and technical training to Boeing employees in the Apprenticeship ProgramManage employees performing activities to research, design, develop, implement/deliver and maintain processes, tools and training to facilitate employee developmentDevelop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goalsAcquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvementsDevelop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reportsProvide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processesManage, develop and motivate employeesWork with Huntsville local Community College on Apprenticeship programs, per contractual agreementsProvide leadership on the Huntsville Technical Training Quality Management System (QMS) and AS9100 site certificationPartner with Human Resources, University Relations and Global Staffing to develop a robust pipeline of talent for the manufacturing areasPosition will require 20% or less travel throughout the yearBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):10+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing5+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role5+ years in a training delivery roleWilling to travel domestically as neededPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s degree or higher1+ year experience in an ApprenticeshipExperience performing in a technical training roleExperience in space/military aerospace fabrication, manufacturing, flight line or flight test operationsExperience conducting internal auditsConflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits: At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
