Facilities Maintenance Operations ManagerLocation: Wilmington, DelawarePay Range: $113,100 – $155,800Job Summary:The Facilities Maintenance Operations Manager is a hands-on engineering leader responsible for maintaining all building systems, equipment, and grounds to ensure safe, uninterrupted warehouse operations. This role drives maximum equipment reliability through a robust preventative maintenance program, oversees the maintenance engineering staff, and implements operational best practices. Safety, housekeeping, and sanitation are foundational priorities.Key Responsibilities:Develop and manage a preventative maintenance (PM) program.Perform building, equipment, and grounds maintenance; conduct weekly facility walkthroughs.Recommend operational and facility improvements to the General Manager.Promote and enforce safety practices, emergency response plans, and facility security monitoring.Ensure sanitation and contamination control.Supervise, train, and develop the maintenance and engineering teams.Manage purchasing and maintain reporting systems.Lead major incident response and post-incident reviews, ensuring root cause analysis and preventive measures.Qualifications:8–10 years of ammonia refrigeration or industrial maintenance experience.8–10 years mechanical troubleshooting experience with strong electrical systems knowledge.2+ years vocational or technical training.Proven ability to supervise a workforce and implement preventative maintenance programs.Hands-on experience operating tools, climbing heights, and managing facilities.Experience managing purchasing, reporting systems, and team development.Proven experience with SLIs, SLOs, observability, automation, and incident management.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
