Plant Controller - Manufacturing - St.Clair County (St. Clair County)
Position OverviewThe Plant Controller leads all financial management, reporting, and analytical functions for a high-performing manufacturing operation. This role serves as a strategic partner to plant leadership, driving financial accuracy, cost control, and operational insights that support continuous improvement and sustainable growth.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all site-level accounting, cost accounting, and FP&A activities in alignment with corporate policies and GAAPOversee and enhance the standard costing system, including material, labor, and overhead structuresPartner with operations and engineering to analyze production variances, scrap, yield, and rework, driving actionable cost improvementsManage monthly close and reporting cycles, delivering accurate financial statements and variance analysisOversee inventory processes, including cycle counts and physical inventory, ensuring accuracy and complianceEnsure the integrity of the balance sheet through accurate inventory valuation, timely reconciliations, and strong internal controlsMaintain hands-on ownership of core accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, inventory accounting, and month-end closeQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred)7+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing finance or cost accountingStrong expertise in standard costing, variance analysis, and absorption accountingAdvanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, Power Query, and data analysisExperience with manufacturing ERP systems (IQMS / DELMIAWorks preferred)
