Sr. Accountant

Senior Accountant – St. Joseph, MI (Fully Onsite) Salary: $90,000 – $100,000 Our client, a well-established and growing family-owned company in the St. Joseph, Michigan area, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP principles Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting Partner with leadership to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls Support multi-entity accounting activities, including exposure to or coordination with foreign entities/international operations Utilize ERP systems such as Oracle and/or SAP to manage financial data and reporting Leverage technology and AI-driven tools/process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy Assist with audits, compliance requirements, and regulatory reporting Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and executive leadership teams Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting Experience with Oracle and/or SAP strongly preferred Exposure to AI tools, automation, or technology-driven accounting processes highly desired Experience working with or understanding foreign entities/international accounting is a plus Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical abilities Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Why Join?
