Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and administer PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases across environmentsPerform database tuning, performance optimization, and query optimizationManage backup, recovery, replication, and high availability setupsAutomate database provisioning and configuration using AnsibleMonitor database health and troubleshoot performance or availability issuesSupport database migrations, upgrades, and patching activitiesWork closely with application, DevOps, and infrastructure teamsEnsure database security, access control, and compliance standards Technical Skills RequiredCore Database SkillsStrong hands-on experience in: PostgreSQL (Primary skill)Microsoft SQL ServerWorking knowledge of: Oracle (Good to have)Automation & ToolsExperience with Ansible for database automation and configuration managementExposure to scripting (Shell/Python/PowerShell) is an added advantage Expected Skill Proficiency (Evaluation Benchmark)PostgreSQL: 8.5 / 10 (Expert level, must-have)SQL Server: 7 / 10 (Strong working knowledge)Oracle: 5 / 10 (Basic to intermediate – optional)Ansible: 6 / 10 (Moderate automation capability)
