The Apple Cloud Services Infrastructure team is seeking a senior engineering program manager to drive the development of our AI platform software stack. You’ll be the connective tissue between infrastructure engineering teams building the foundational systems that power AI/ML development across Apple. Spanning Model Development, Model Serving, and App Serving capabilities, you’ll partner with engineering, product, and business teams to translate platform vision into executable roadmaps. You’ll also drive alignment across complex technical dependencies and ensure we deliver integrated infrastructure that scales. You can coordinate multiple projects across locations. You have excellent written and interpersonal skills, pay attention to detail, and are highly organized. You have experience running a complex set of software deliverables with many interdependencies and you have a track record as a strong partner within engineering, design, and leadership. You have excellent communication, organization and leadership skills relevant to our complex environment. Responsibilities Drive cross-functional programs that span Model Development, Model Serving, and App Serving infrastructure. Coordinate dependencies across teams building compute, storage, networking, and platform services. Partner with engineering leads to translate platform strategy into actionable roadmaps with clear milestones, owners, and success criteria. Identify technical and organizational risks early; facilitate alignment and unblock teams through proactive problem-solving. Establish program frameworks that provide visibility to cross-team dependencies, progress, and tradeoffs for leadership decision-making. Collaborate with ML Researchers, ML Engineers, and Platform teams to understand user needs and ensure infrastructure investments map to real jobs-to-be-done. Drive operational rigor across the program lifecycle, from requirements gathering through launch readiness and post-launch iteration. Minimum Qualifications 8+ years in technical program management, with significant experience in infrastructure or platform development. Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and software development lifecycles. BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field or related experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ML/AI infrastructure: training clusters, model serving, or ML platform tooling. Background in GPU/accelerator infrastructure or high-performance computing. Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes), workflow systems, or distributed data platforms. Experience building developer platforms or infrastructure-as-a-service products. Understanding of ML development workflows: experiment tracking, model registries, pipeline orchestration. Proven ability to drive complex, multi-team technical programs from ambiguity to delivery. Track record of influencing senior engineering leaders and building consensus across organizations with competing priorities. Strong technical acumen and the ability to engage with product and engineering on architecture decisions and tradeoffs. Self-motivated and proactive; demonstrated ability to triage, prioritize, and navigate ambiguity under pressure. Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical complexity into clear narratives for diverse audiences. Pay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $203,300 and $305,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
