Interventional Radiology is essential to delivering minimally invasive, image‑guided care that improves patient outcomes and expands access to advanced treatment options.
Diagnostic Radiology is essential to delivering timely, accurate diagnoses that guide patient care across all specialties.

Practice Information
Position Type: Services As Needed (Per Diem)
Schedule: Flexible, based on departmental needs and provider availability
Call: Optional or as needed (site‑dependent)
EMR: Epic
Provider Support: Collaborative team of radiologists, technologists, nursing staff, and APPs
Scope: Broad-spectrum Interventional Radiology procedures, including vascular and non‑vascular interventions. General Diagnostic Radiology including CT, MRI, ultrasound, X‑ray, and fluoroscopy (site‑dependent)
Facility Information
Acute care hospital(s) within Alameda Health System (Highland Hospital, San Leandro Hospital, and Alameda Hospital)
Modern imaging and interventional suites / modern imaging equipment and PACS systems
Access to CT, MRI, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy / access to a full spectrum of diagnostic modalities
Multidisciplinary collaboration with surgery, oncology, and specialty services as well as inpatient and outpatient teams
Teaching environment with residents and medical students (site‑dependent)
Qualifications
Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Training: Interventional Radiology – Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency and Interventional Radiology fellowship (or integrated IR/DR training). Diagnostic Radiology – Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency
Certification: Interventional Radiology – Board Certified/Board Eligible in Radiology (IR/DR preferred). Diagnostic Radiology – Board Certified/Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
Licensure: Active California medical license
Experience: Prior Interventional Radiology/Diagnostic Radiology experience preferred

Proficiency in image‑guided interventional procedures
Strong clinical judgment and procedural decision‑making
Ability to integrate seamlessly into existing care teams

Diagnostic Radiology Skills
Strong interpretive skills across multiple imaging modalities
