Senior SuperintendentLocation: Los Angeles, CA Employment Type: Full-Time | Onsite Project Type: Commercial, Multifamily, Healthcare, and Institutional ConstructionPosition OverviewA leading general contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead large-scale construction projects across Los Angeles. This role is responsible for overseeing all field operations, driving schedule performance, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.The ideal candidate is a proven field leader with experience managing complex, ground-up and/or renovation projects and coordinating multiple trades in fast-paced environments.Key ResponsibilitiesField Leadership & ExecutionLead all onsite construction activities from mobilization through project completion.Manage Assistant Superintendents, field engineers, and subcontractors.Coordinate multiple trades and ensure efficient sequencing of work.Drive daily production and maintain accountability across the jobsite.Scheduling & Production ManagementDevelop and manage master schedules, short-interval plans, and look-aheads.Monitor progress and proactively address delays or conflicts.Implement recovery plans to maintain milestone targets.Quality & Safety OversightEnsure all work meets plans, specifications, and company quality standards.Conduct routine inspections and manage punch list and closeout.Promote and enforce a strong safety culture in compliance with OSHA standards.Team & Stakeholder CoordinationCollaborate closely with Project Managers, architects, and consultants.Serve as the primary onsite contact for clients and ownership teams.Lead subcontractor meetings and daily field coordination efforts.Mentor and develop junior field staff and future leaders.Qualifications10+ years of construction experience, with significant time as a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent.Experience on large-scale commercial, multifamily, healthcare, or institutional projects.Proven ability to manage multiple trades and large field teams.Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and scheduling.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
